A Heated Argument

Zara's POV

Nervously, my eyes gaped into Xander's hot body that was slowly getting exposed when he unbuttoned his shirt more. But after three buttons, he stopped abruptly.

“Do you want me to go all the way down?” His frosty words made me jittery and I immediately shot my head up, my eyes filled with awkwardness.

His gaze was as cold as ice. Keeping the blazer on the couch, Xander said, “Let's have dinner.”

Xander walked up to the table and so did I. Both of us took our seats, and I saw Xander silently picking up the lids, and filling the plate with some food.

I did the same. Alertly, I was biting the food down. Again there was a wave of silence. So, was Xander really not going to do anything to me?

We were done with our dinner and all this while my gaze was on Xander but he didn't look at me even for once. I was such a fool to think Xander wanted to do ‘something’ to me. How did I forget that he was the one to slap the divorce papers right in my face after our wedding night?
