The dining table was arranged just like the first, and I didn't know why we had been invited, but sitting there made me feel hot inside.

My mate sat next to Mia, while I sat close to Mary who was awfully quiet.

I guess she was also shocked about the invite I got to the table.

“Mia asked us all to sit down for dinner. She said she became friends with Kira,” I heard him say, turning towards her with a smile.

I was shocked at how she changed over the past couple of weeks. She was even more scary than I thought, but then she did everything with me, and even told me stories about how she spent time with my mate.

Even when those stories hurt me, I mostly thought about it like I was the one doing those fun things with him.

But despite how she tried to get close to me, I didn't take her as a friend.
