Ezra’s POV

I bite my lower lip as I walk back and forth here in my room. It’s been an hour or so since Alpha Ryler met my mom. I could not think properly and I am worried the whole time.

“What if he decided to kill her?” I asked myself.

I dart my eyes on the door and walk towards it. I was about to open it when suddenly, someone from the other side pushed open the door.

“Roman!” I said.

In front of me, Roman stand formally.

“I was about to knock but I felt you behind the door so I just opened it. I hope you don’t mind,” he said while pointing at the half-opened door.

I nod my head aggressively. “It’s totally fine,” I replied while shaking my hands in front of me frantically.

“Alpha Ryler is calling you,” he said.

My eyes widen. For what? Did he kill my mother? Did he call me to see my mother’s body and watch me suffer?

“Your mother also wants to see you,” he added.

My jaw drops and my lips turn into an o shape. So, she’s alive!

“Thank god,” I murmured to myself.

When what I said sunk
