Grayson rushed out of his car and up the stairs to Kathleen's door the moment he heard her hoarse voice on the phone, she tried to play it off really hard as just having a cold when he called to ask about a file—he knew what her crying voice sounded like and didn't hesitate to grab his keys, took a quick stop at Devante's to get her a sandwich and was now in front of her door.

Kathleen's head ached badly from crying her eyes out when she heard a knock on her door, she sniffled loudly as she reluctantly got up from the ground, strode towards the door and opened it to her boss who barged in without question and dropped a paper bag on her table.

‘Wh...what are you—'

‘I heard you cry'

‘I said I was okay'

’You're clearly not', he frowned, ‘What happened? Tell me'.
