Chapter 47

Current Location: The hallway of the cabin

Everything started moving super-fast and extremely slow at the same time. We all stealthily moved to the hallway where there were no windows. Kyle pulling Macs body along with us. It was a pointless effort though, anyone with eyes could see Mac was dead and there was no saving him. After we all took Shelter in the hallway Kyle slowly located the window the arrow came through. It turned out it was from the kitchen window, and with that line of site only Mac would have been visible. I quickly called Shane so I could warn him about what just happened and to keep the children away.

Shane luckily was visiting his mother’s sister so he would not be back until around seven p.m. I did not tell him what had happened because I did not want to worry him prematurely.
