I did not even hesitate for one second and I took off like a bull running straight for Emma’s room. I was ecstatic that the closest person to a sister I had was awake and things were going to get better finally. I rounded the corner and went straight into her room. I had not even realized that Tony was right behind me until I laid eyes on Emma, and he said, “I am so sorry Tash. It seems someone lied to us.”

The happiness I was feeling shattered into a million pieces. At first all I wanted to do was cry out in agony, but those feelings quickly turned to pure anger. Dr. Marsh walked briskly into the room and over to Emma.
