JAKE’S MOMENT WITH HER

The quad all stood around my bed, staring at me as though I was a treaure that was just found.

I finally sat up and cleared my throat, even if I had no idea of what I wanted to say. I had a lot to say, especially to Jason who saved my life. But then, looking at each of them suddenly made me lose my will to speak.

“I didn’t do her anything! I can swear to that. She just pushed me into the pool”, I started, with a sincere look on my face.

I had thought that they were going to start blaming me for upsetting their girlfriend, or something like that.

“Are you okay?” Jason asked instead and walked over to me, placing his hands on my forehead to be sure that my temperature was good.

Ethan was the next to come sit beside me. He pulled me into a warm hug that melted my soul. Jake and Mason stayed back, but their eyes were fixed on me.
