“Come on, bro. Just call River and ask him out on a date.”
Devyn turned to me with a stunned face. “No,” he said and shook his head vigorously. “We’ve known each other for not even one semester, Arlo. Why would I ask him out on a date?”
I sighed. “It doesn’t have to be a romantic date! Just ask him out on a friendly date and ask his sister to come.”
He raised one of his eyebrows. “Oh, I see. So, this is what it’s all about. You want to meet your precious Hera and sweep her off her feet. Why don’t you just ask her out on a date? She’s your mate anyway.”
