Chapter Nine

I could not help the smile that laced my face as I saw the man who threatened to kill me few seconds ago, running around my room trying to find a way to escape.

I know that he must have known Daniel and how ruthless he could be and it was obvious that he was very much afraid of him.

Because if he wasn't, why didn't he still stand behind me and try to threaten Daniel using my life as hostage?

It was either that or he knew who Daniel was and Daniel knew who he was as well.

Using my eyes, I tried to find the key in my room. I would not be able to explain to Daniel who this man was but if Daniel knew who he was already, it would be easier for us to capture him and ensure that he did not come anywhere close to me again.

All that would only be possible if I was able to find the key and open the door before he dashed out.
