I stood there, frozen as I watched him smile, laughing and shaking hands with Jake. I felt a knot rise up in my throat on seeing how familiar he seemed with Jake and the pack?

It took a minute to snap out of the haze I was in, I had to understand what the hell was going on. Alpha Jason has a lot to account for. A lot to explain to me because it’s his fault I’m here in the first place.

I stood at the corner, watching him being all smiles with the beta and gamma. He looked just as righteous as I’ve always thought he was. How wrong! I might not have heard the full explanation but standing right in front of my eyes, he stood there and not once has he looked around, searching for the girl that was basically kidnapped to the pack here. Instead he stood there in his full pack regalia, smile widely on display, speaking to the beta.
