I woke up to find myself in a dark room. My body was tired, and I needed blood. I slowly moved into a sitting position and realized I was on a bed in some hospital room. I pulled back and began to feel pain in my side and stomach. I doubled over, and my knees hit the floor. Nicholas stepped back as I screamed in pain. My wounds were starting to close at a rapid rate. My body was re-knitting itself from the inside out, and it was a horrible pain. Without blood for the past two days, my body had not dealt with the damage Jacob had caused. My body was on fire. The next night when I awoke, I felt for Dominique. She was asleep, so I went into her mind. I created a dream world for her so we could talk and she could see me. I wasn’t sure if it would be easier for her or not. I hoped she had gotten over her anger, but I was sure she would have it for a long time. I created a room with a bed covered with black, gossamer curtains. I laid down and sent the dream to her. Dominique walked up to the bed and pulled the curtain back. “Nathaniel? Where are we? And how did we get here?” Dominique asked. “We are in your dream, my love. I came to you like this as I did not think you would want to see me. Don’t worry. Nothing bad can happen to you here,” I said as I stood up. I walked over and enveloped her in my arms. I felt the sadness taking me over and knew I was projecting it. I got off Nicholas’s land and went back to my home. It was nothing more than a shell except for the garage. Everything I owned had been in that house. I had always moved everything with me because I didn’t own much. I had other cars in other areas, and my finances were in banks, so I was still okay financially. It was the emotional things I had lost. I went to where the garage used to be. This was going to be a mess to clean up. My anger took over again, and I went hunting. I was looking over some reports when I suddenly felt something was wrong with Dominique. It felt like fear, but it was gone as suddenly as it came on. I tried to link her to see if everything was alright, but she didn’t answer. It felt like she was asleep. Perhaps she was having a nightmare. I could still feel her, and she didn’t feel like she was in pain. I went back to my reports. An hour later, I felt like something was wrong again, but this time I felt a pain that wasn’t mine.
