I woke up to find myself in a dark room. My body was tired, and I needed blood. I slowly moved into a sitting position and realized I was on a bed in some hospital room. I didn’t see any windows whatsoever. I smelled a faint trace of wolf. I assumed I was in a werewolf hospital. I wasn’t sure how long I had been here. I moved off the bed and immediately hit the floor as my body was wracked with pain. I lay there for hours before finally mustering the strength to crawl towards the door. I pulled back and began to feel pain in my side and stomach. I doubled over, and my knees hit the floor. Nicholas stepped back as I screamed in pain. My wounds were starting to close at a rapid rate. My body was re-knitting itself from the inside out, and it was a horrible pain. Without blood for the past two days, my body had not dealt with the damage Jacob had caused. My body was on fire. The next night when I awoke, I felt for Dominique. She was asleep, so I went into her mind. I created a dream world for her so we could talk and she could see me. I got off Nicholas’s land and went back to my home. It was nothing more than a shell except for the garage. Everything I owned had been in that house. I had always moved everything with me because I didn’t own much. I had other cars in other areas, and my finances were in banks, so I was still okay financially. It was the emotional things I had lost. I went to where the garage used to be. This was going to be a mess to clean up. My anger took over again, and I went hunting.
