Abby sighed inwardly. “No, I didn't. Chris was fighting to wake up,” she said. She didn't want trouble with anyone.

Trisha chuckled and sat on the floor beside her. “It is good that you know that. He was fighting to be with his baby,” she said, rubbing her belly.

Abby's face turned a little sadder. But she still nodded her head. “That's right,” she said.

And this annoyed Trisha. “The time has come, Abby. You have to pack your things and leave for good. If I see you again, I will kill you,” she said.

Abby sat there quietly for a while. Was she threatening her?

Then she chuckled and looked at Trisha. “I was going to leave anyway. But that's not because of you. I am not scared of you because I know that your end is coming soon,” she said, standing up. She didn't have any more time to waste.

But just a short distance away, she almost bumped into Chris's dad. “Sorry,” she said, her head bowed.
