He was under arrest

"I'm sorry," he replied softly, his gaze never leaving mine. "I will not do it again, I promise." His sincerity was evident, but I knew that rebuilding trust would take time and effort from both of us. It was a long road ahead, but his willingness to make amends gave me hope for our future together.

As we sat in silence, the tension between us slowly dissipated. I could see his regret in his eyes, and I knew he truly meant his words.
