7 : Hello Mr. Stranger?

Yang Sunni wasn't awakened the next day by the alarm as usual but by the rash opening of the bedroom's entrance door.

Startled, she jerked out of bed looking towards the direction of the door, Hana walked in.

Reluctantly, she yawned stretching out herself. "What's up with the slamming??" She asked.

Hana seemed to be in a hurry as she dashed into the room and approached her wardrobe. Without words, she opened it and began taking out clothes that she put into the bag she placed aside.

Sunni slowly got out of bed as she watched her pack in a hurry. Only a guess would tell her all..." Where are you going?"

Hana didn't reply but continued.

"Hey...Hana, where you going?" She asked again.

With a sigh, she stopped and looked up at Sunni. "It's kind of a long story, but I'll cut it short. Mum and dad who continuously insisted I go on blind dates to find a boyfriend has set up a blind date for me back in town and I have to go home for it"

Sunni was a bit confused "What? why are suddenly going this time? I thought you were not in support of the blind dates. why do you suddenly want to go this time?"

"It's also kind of a long story but in summary, I just realized that the guy they arranged me with was my crush from high school!"

Hana seemed to be excited by it but Sunni was reluctant. She sighed sitting back in bed as she watched her pack.

"And why didn't you get back yesterday? I waited for you to return" Sunni explained.

"Well, I slept at a co-worker's place. So..." She continued.

"Aish....you should have let me know" Sunni complained.

"So. How did the interview go?"

"Interview? A total failure you might say. it was terrible! I was humiliated by that guy"

"Really? Tell me, what happened" Hana requested as Sunni briefly told her how Lin had done.

"Awen. Poor little thing. That's so sad" Hana sympathized.

"I know! And now I have no other hope" Sunni stated.

Hana was done with putting the required clothes in the bag as she zipped it up.

"You know what?" Hana began" I've been wanting to tell you this. If you know you're not gonna get into that agency, why not try Starting up your own Agency"

Sunni thought over the idea for a while as a smile suddenly came over her face. " That's right! why haven't I thought of this!"

The smile faded "Oh ... because I don't know how to do that"

Hana shocked her head in sympathy "How hard can it be? Just hold up an audition or interview to invite people to your agency and then select the ones you want. Then after that, you can start investing stuff"

Sunni smiled again" Oh dear! Hana that's a wonderful idea! It's certainly gonna work out! But....how do I get people to know about it?"

"Just put up the interview online. ..The. you can go about it" she suggested.

"Yeah...that makes lots of sense. But...... can you help me out with that.. please" Sunni pleaded.

"Sorry but I'm In a hurry," Hana said carrying her bag.

"Please please, please. Just help me this once before you go.  Please" Sunni pleaded falling before Hana and grabbing her leg.

Hana struggled to be free but to no avail. Reluctantly she dropped her bag rolling her eyes "Get me the laptop"

Excited, Sunni took the laptop by the study table and brought it to Hana who now sat on the bed.

Sunni sat beside her watching her operate it and doing her thing.

"So what name do you wanna call it?" Hana asked.

"Eh.... let me see..... Well... it's best to he called Sunni detective agency" Sunni seemed satisfied by the choice of the name she had selected.

Hana asked for other information from Sunni who presented them with delight and within a while, Hana was done.

"Now your agency is set to audition tomorrow at the Malan Hall. I've got you three hours".

Excited, Sunni quickly hugged Hana" Oh thanks a lot! now you can go on your blind date as I wish you all the best!"

Hana squeezed herself free "whatever. I've done all here so I'll be off" She got up and with her bag left the room " Take care"

Sunni watched her friend leave with a sigh. It made her recall her miserable life of joblessness and lovelessness.

At least Hana was in luck to have to go on a blind date with her high school crush.

And a stable job too attached to her name.

But Sunni had nothing. Neither Job nor love. It was pathetic for her to imagine.

But looking on the bright side. she believed she had the opportunity to make up for all that....at least the joblessness.

She had managed with the help of her Friend to secure an opportunity to develop her own Agency.

Now, this was a good chance to make her dream of being a detective work out.

                       ———————

With Hana gone, Sunni spent her time at home doing nothing specifically other than surfing her phone while she thought of a way to handle her new detective agency.

By the next day, she arrived at the Malan Hall, waiting for applicants to arrive for the interview.

An hour had miserably passed by as she sat at the front roll of the hall staring at the stage. No one had come, and no one seemed to be coming!

She was looking miserable! Sad and dejected. This was always her fate, always being stood up.

And like always no one seemed to be coming, she was losing hope and especially when another hour was miserable.

Hope was fading away and she could have sworn seeing boredom and anguish flying around the stage, mocking her disappointment.

She blinked looking at her wristwatch. Time was passing and it was only thirty minutes to make it three hours...

                      ————————

The young man stood before the boutique, staring through show glass at the fancy-looking clothes which were on display.

He was mute as always and his face expressionless. From the way he stared firmly at the show glass, It was quite obvious that he took fancy in those clothes.

After a while of looking at it, he observed someone going in and then coming out with clothes.

He didn't quite understand the logic behind this so he simply entered the shop, invisible.

A woman led a couple through some displays of couple outfits. she had shown them a couple of hoodie sets which were one red and the other blue.

Then they had moved on to the next set. b

But suddenly, the red hoodie disappeared.

Then the woman led the couple back to the sets of hoodies after they had decided to take it and to her greatest surprise, they were gone.

"Huh? where is the red one?" The man asked as the sales lady looked around confused.

It was just here a while ago! where then did it go??

The young and later appeared at a distance away from the boutique and was dressed in the red hoodie.

He looked at himself as he simply shrugged. Then he knew he had to go look for the person who had something important to him.

He recalled Sunni and then paused for a while looking into thin air as a blue light lit through his eyes.

He had sensed Sunni's locations and then walked ahead to go find her.

                           —————

Sunni sank into her seat with a loud groan of annoyance and exhaustion.

She had waited long with high hopes at first but all to no avail. she continued groaning angrily and annoyed not typically hoping for a miracle because right now it was kind of impossible.

The young man had just entered the hall invisible as he caught sight of Sunni from where he stood behind.

He then took a seat at the back and watched her wait for what he didn't know about.

Then he felt the presence and power of something he had lost. He realized that being close to Sunni was a means of strengthening himself.

Perhaps he would have to stay around here for a little longer if he was gonna survive in this strange land and maybe bear the hope of taking back what's his and going back home.

As he thought about all these, he saw a man dressed in a security man's outfit walk past him and approach Sunni. He simply watches from behind as he enhances his listening capability to hear what they said.

"Miss...your time's already up like half an hour ago...You should already leave since we're expecting others to make use of this hall" The security man explained.

Looking pathetic, Sunni looked up at the man "Mister .... Please give me some more time ...few minutes at least. This is very important to me" She pleaded even knowing that there was no hope left.

"No, we can't do that. I've already granted you like half an hour which wasn't right. so sorry it's out of my capability to expand your time" The man explained.

"But.... please just..." Sunni was hopeless. she wasn't even certain what to do.

"Sorry miss but if you don't leave. I'm sorry that I'll have to do it the hard way" the man stated.

The young man's ears pricked on hearing that last statement. To him, it was a threat that was always harshly carried out. He knew from the little he knew.

He watched as the man pulled Sunni by the hand intending to send her out while she pleaded for more time. Misunderstanding the whole situation, he quickly came to appear as he walked up to them.

"Hands off her or pay the price" He stood before the man placing the murderous threat that accompanied his eyes that were cold and murderous himself. No one dared harm his object.

The man stiffened, confused on seeing this man. Sunni on the other hand stared at him confused as she blinked for a while, wondering who he was.

"And you are...?" The security man asked.

Without giving any reply, he grabbed the security man's hand away from Sunni's, as he twisted it leaving the man in pain.

"Ouch....! ouch! what ......are you doing??? don't you know who I....am...I can jail you....for....ouch!" He struggled to set himself free but it seemed this man was extraordinarily strong.

Just then the image struck into her mind as she recalled him. He was the guy she saved from the car road the other day.

Looking at the situation, the security man was likely to get angry once free and this might implicate both her and the guy.

Immediately she grabbed the young man by his hand as he quickly let the security man free.

"Sorry about that .. he's here for the interview but since there's no time left....we'll be on our way bye!" She didn't wait for the angry man's reply as she simply pulled the young man by the hand and ran off.

The young man stiffened as he watched her pull him away.

Later they were out of the building and few a distances away before she stopped running and let go of his hands.

She panted with both hands on her knees as he simply stood there looking at her.

She then looked up at him after she had gotten herself a bit.

"You.....did I offend you in my previous life  that I always end up saving you?" She asked sarcastically but he stared at her.

"Of course, I remember you" She continued " you were that guy I saved from the road the other day. And why are you here? And caused more trouble? "

He didn't reply once again but had his eyes fixed on her. It kind of made her feel awkward.

"Uh .. maybe" She quickly concluded' You came to apply to join my agency? Right?"

She smiled.

But his expression was still the same.

"That must be your reason" She stated "Well don't worry... since you're the first and only person to come.  I'll be nice enough to accept you without an interview. So welcome aboard! From now on, You're my new assistant"

With a smile, she stretched out her hands for a handshake. He simply looked from her smiling face to her hands.

He didn't understand what this gesture was all about but it was familiar. So he too slowly brought out his hands to reciprocate, uncertain.
