The night sky was pretty
The full moon was also out as the stars filled the sky into a starry night.
Yang Sunni was sad.
She slowly walked by the roadside on that cold night.
The street was a lonely one, but it was a shorter road for her to get to a bus station leading home.
But she didn't want to go home just now. She was sad and it was shown on her face.
She walked by the street looking up into the night sky as she thought about what had happened hours back
--------
"what are you doing here?"
Detective Lin had asked about seeing her.
"Well...I....actually....I...." She scratched her head nervously.
Dave Lin had checked his wristwatch from time to time. He was running late to where he wanted to go and Sunni was delaying him.
"If you have nothing important to say...then please may I leave?"
"Well, actually I wanna join your agency. The thing is that....ever since I was young...I've always had the zeal to be a detective...I've always taken delight in investigating things and I even lost most of my jobs while trying to investigate...so I believe that this is the right path for me.....It is my dream so I'd like to be given a chance to achieve it."
Dave Lin looked at the petit girl who had poured out her desires to him And it seemed that he had already made a choice.
"Forget about our first meeting - well that was just a tragic one... I promise if you give me this opportunity ...I'll try my best. I'll work hard to meet the standards...I'll do my very best!"
"So you mean to say that since you were young you've been practically detecting stuff?" He questioned.
"Yeah...I have...." She replied with a smile. Possibly there was a ray of hope.
He sighed "Miss...."
"Yang.....the name's yang Sunni" she quickly replied.
"Being a detective is not a child's play. And it's not mere on dreams and desires...there's more to it than that "
"I know...I know that....that's why I promise to do my best" she assured.
"I don't need to know you for long before I make my decision...Based on the little I know about you...I have to conclude that you're not suitable for this in any aspect."
She stiffened. Her eyes fixed on him. Her ray of hope was slowly fading away.
"But...I can.."
" 'You can...' That's what you believe but I don't think this path is for you..you're not just right...You're simply careless...Incompetent, undedicated and can never make this aspect....so stop wasting our times" He said firmly.
"But if you give me a chance...I can prove myself, you don't have to make a first impression summary " she said.
"I'm a professional...you don't need to tell me how to do my job"
Without any further remark, he turned and simply walked out on her.
She stood there, rather speechless.
His words kept ringing into her head.
Incompetent...
careless...
undedicated...
All, she believed wasn't a summary of her.
His words hurt her and pierced into her. It made her weak sad.
Right now, she didn't know how to feel...
The invisible young man stood at a distance watching them.
He watched the girl who stood there sadly. He watched her mood. She was sad but he didn't quite understand that feeling.
The complicated feelings of humans...he could never understand even after 10 years of his life on earth.
—————
Sunni wanted to walk out her whole emotions, perhaps strolling could work. She believed.
The young man followed behind her as she walked.
He observed her from behind He wasn't interested in knowing how she felt but was more interested in knowing how to get back what belongs to him from her.
At the moment, he didn't know how to do that but finding it was a step.
And now all he had to do was keep it in close view while protecting it.....
"I hate you, detective general!"
She yelled to the sky. "Such a jerk!"
Just then she looked across the road.
She saw a man gang of drunkards teasing a young girl who was passing by.
She frowned "Bunch of disgusting men like that detective General!" she mumbled angrily to herself as she approached the scene.
The young man watched her leave. This girl was indeed silly and extraordinary.
Other humans he had come in contact with always ran away from danger, but this girl runs right into danger!
With a sigh, he watched the drama.
"Hey, jerks! Stay away from her!" She commanded
The drunken gangs turned to her.
"Who are you? Do you wanna die?" One demanded.
"Shameless....How can you pick on this girl!". she walked up to them and dragged the girl away from them.
They stared at her surprised.
"Ma'am...runoff," she said as the woman thanked her and ran for her dear life.
"How dare you young brat!"
She looked at them."Want a fight? Come get me!"
Sunni quickly ran for her dear life!
The drunken gang quickly ran after her.
"Hey stop there! " They demanded. "you're gonna die today!"
She continued running hoping to survive. But she had a plan.
As she ran, she quickly got out her phone to call the police but it fell off!
Damn! Now she was dead!
"Someone save me! Someone! " She cried out for her dear life.
The young man had seen them run after her and disappeared.
Suddenly, the running scene froze.
Sunni froze and so did the drunken gangs.
The scene was calm as the young man appeared.
He looked around for a while as his gaze fell on the drunken gangs.
He walked up to them as he slowly placed a hand on their leader's chin. He gripped It.
"Too bad..because now....you'll all have to pay"
Immediately, he drained him of his life. His skin texture went white and he did this to all of them equally in a flash.
With this achieved. He walked up to Sunni. He slowly ran his finger through her chin as he magically played a tracker in her.
Now, he could find her whenever.
He disappeared.
Everything came back to normal as Sunni stopped running.
Confused at the stance feeling she had felt, she looked behind her to see the men falling, lifeless...
She looked around and saw no one.
"Yeah.. that's what you get...for messing with me...." She quickly ran off for her good.
The young man lay on the rooftop of a house Close by.
He heard what Sunni had said before she ran off as the Side of his lips curled into a smile...

Yang Sunni wasn't awakened the next day by the alarm as usual but by the rash opening of the bedroom's entrance door. Startled, she jerked out of bed looking towards the direction of the door, Hana walked in. Reluctantly, she yawned stretching out herself. "What's up with the slamming??" She asked. Hana seemed to be in a hurry as she dashed into the room and approached her wardrobe. Without words, she opened it and began taking out clothes that she put into the bag she placed aside. Sunni slowly got out of bed as she watched her pack in a hurry. Only a guess would tell her all..." Where are you going?" Hana didn't reply but continued. "Hey...Hana, where you going?" She asked again. With a sigh, she stopped and looked up at Sunni. "It's kind of a long story, but I'll cut it short. Mum and dad who continuously insisted I go on blind dates to find a boyfriend has set up a blind date for me back in town and I have to go
“My name's Sunni, Yang Sunni. And you?" Sunni said trying to escape from the handshake. The Young Man was still holding her hand firmly in a handshake. When she finally escaped from the handshake, she smiled asking again as he paused without giving any answers. He had his eyes on her. Those eyes that were both alluring and murderous, but ignorant Sunni didn't care less. "Don't you have a name?" She asked again as he slowly nodded. She was confused for a while. How could he not have a name? where could he be from? what situation could he be in? All these questions rang in her head but she didn't care much to answer any of them. She simply sighed looking around. "So you don't have a name?" She confirmed as he nodded cluelessly again." Which means I'll have to give you a name. Right?" He went mute still staring at her but she continued. "In that case....what name should I give you?" She thou
Dave Lin had probably worked overtime. This is evident from the time he was still in the office. He took a quick glimpse at his golden wristwatch. It was 9:50 pm. Quite too late for his usual working schedule. But he seemed busy and occupied at the moment. With the files filled up on his table and the computer on before him which he operated from time to time while going through files, he was certainly going through a case. Or rather the case at hand. He took a while to surf a particular file that was bodied with words that only he understood. He seemed lost in it, lost into the words in it and the sense he tried to make out of it while linking ideas. He didn't seem to be in the mood for anything else. His busy scenario was interrupted by a knock on the door. He paused, looking up to the door." Who's there?" He wondered who was still in the agency late at night. "It's me...Lara" The familiar feminine voice came from the oth
"What??" He was a bit too bold to repeat it! " I have no home. So I want to stay here with you. Can I...?" "No!" Sunni snapped even before he ended the words harmoniously. "You certainly can't stay here at my place!" Sunni didn't know what she was feeling right now. Shock? panic? Whatever! The feeling was awkward. What was this guy saying? was he too dumb that he didn't know the implication of what he was spouting out?. "Why?" He asked. "You....are you trying to tease me or what? How can you say that?' "Well, I just wanted to stay here...." "No you can't" She chipped in again "Don't you know it's inappropriate for a boy and a girl to stay together in one room? No, I refuse" "But why is it inappropriate?" He asked She was gonna go insane from his ignorant questions. Who on earth asks such questions?? "it's just inappropriate.. only couples and married ones can do that" Sunni trie
Sunni thought that perhaps if she walked more quickly and not look at him, she would forget that scene. So she walked briskly by the road side without looking back.Lucas was behind her. He wondered why she was walking so fast without any hope of stopping. He too tired to increase his walking pace to see if he would catch up but Sunni seemed to have increased her walking pace.He had to choice but to walk from behind while wondering why she was walking like that.Sunni was still walking but he little brain was still dashing to that scene from that morning. She shocked her head to cast it out but it was Still coming! She was doomed! She was walking so quickly and distractedly that she failed to see the bench before her. She bumped into it with her leg. "Ouch!"She ended up sitting on it while she tried easing the pain from her leg by massaging it.Lucas came to stand before her as she slowly looked up to meet his gaze. She blinked as all her
"Mister, Give us two cones of ice creams, Strawberry flavor for me"Yang Sunni and Lucas stood before the ice cream truck as the jolly seller whooped up a cone of ice cream . "Here you go" He handed it to Sunni.Sunni looked at Lucas who was busy observing the scenes "What?""What flavor do you want?" She asked"What you have, I'll have" He insisted. She didn't know what was in this guy's mind. Was he trying to act polite or considerate?"No...you can't have strawberry" She insisted."Why?""Because..... you're a guy.....and guys shouldn't have strawberry flavor""Why?""Because.... it's just so, so stop bothering me" she looked at the ice cream seller. "Give him chocolate"The man whooped another one, this time chocolate and then h
The man was halfway facing. He was masked from him nose down with black clothing leaving his eyes and upper face exposed.Sunni's heart skipped beats on seeing him. It was already night but there were few street lights enabling her to see those eyes. Those eyes for a reason triggered her. They were blue.....and for a strange reason were familiar. She sensed a strong feeling of familiarly in those eyes which was odd. Because she was certain she hadn't seen them before neither had she seen him. With fear griping her from all angles, She moved backwards in slightly staggering. Those oddly familiar face was indeed creepy!"Who.....who....are you.....?" She asked in fear as she moved back. The man had now turned fully to face her as his eyes lit. Those blue eyes were domineering and slightly demonic. Sunni could feel the strange aura of evil around but no where to run to.She ha
"What? Missed me?" Kelvin majestically walked to a sofa close by and sunk himself in."How lucky you are kelvin today. Else you were gonna be late for Dave's meeting by eight""Hmm. Really? He's holding a meeting?" Kelvin repeated."Yes. And I wished you were late today as always then maybe Dave would have to deal with you....maybe deny you of your salary for a month. Sounds fair" Lara walked up to him folding her hands.Kelvin smiled" Little Lara .. how can you think evil of me? Are we not a team? Or .....maybe you're still angry from the little love tip I gave you? Don't blame me ..you're too blame for exacting it so poorly""You.....you still have the guts to talk after your shameless behavior? What a jerk!""Don't blame me for that... besides, unlike you who's jinxed in love, I'm highly lucky! Look how my luck drove me to work early." He boast
