Chapter Eighty-eight

Elena walked into the kitchen one fine morning and was surprised to see Rosana bustling about, preparing a delicious meal. Elena couldn't wait to get her hands on the meal and even from where she stood, her taste buds were already dancing from the sweet scent.

As Rosana expertly chopped vegetables, Elena couldn't contain her curiosity any longer. She leaned against the kitchen counter and looked at Rosana closely. "Rosana, I've been wondering... Why does Andrea never allow Vanessa, out of the house? It's like she's practically a prisoner. Do you have any idea?"

Rosana paused for a moment, her eyes flickering with a mix of concern and hesitation. She continued her work, slowly placing the knife down on the cutting board. "Elena," she began, her voice tinged with a hint of sadness, "the reason why Vanessa rarely leaves the house has to do with the various kidnapping attempts that have been targeted at her."
