Chapter Eighty-nine

In the dead of the night, Andrea stood outside Elena's bedroom door, his heart heavy with remorse. He was determined to make amends, to beg for forgiveness from the person he loved most in the world even though he knew that it might be hard. He realized that he shouldn't have done what he did to her and he was so ashamed of himself for what he had done.

His hand shook as he reached out to knock on the door. Elena, lost in her thoughts, hesitated before opening it. Her eyes were puffy from tears shed in anger and hurt. She had been hurt deeply by his outburst, and she wasn't sure if she was ready to let go of that pain.

Andrea's voice was barely a whisper as he spoke. "Elena, I'm so sorry. I know I hurt you with my words, and I can't even begin to express how deeply I regret it. Please, let me in so I can make things right."

Elena looked into Andrea's eyes, searching for sincerity. She saw the pain and remorse etched on his face, and she knew that his anger had gotten the better of him
