Sixty Two

Ruby realized that she had forgotten the list of the things she needed to buy at home, and she decided she was going to have to shop as she pleased.

Thankfully, Cameron had given her his black card this morning when she told him she needed to get groceries. She pushed the cart to the fruit section and wondered how many apples will be sufficient for making apple pie for the kids. She had decided to make that for them as dessert for tonight’s dinner.

She loved cooking, but most especially, she loved taking care of summer and spring as much as she could. With a frown on her face, she squinted her eyes as she thought about what to get. She had just started to shop for the things she needed when she realized that she was not on the list, but that doesn't matter. She was going to have to do it off her head, plus she could still remember some of the things she had written down.

She turned to face the shelf and picked out a bag of apples, and she carefully dropped it into the cart she was
