“Well, you sure took your time with your son,” Jone said, dancing his way back inside the Alpha’s study room. 

“Some things can’t wait,” Bernard said, gesturing for him to sit down. The human’s continuous movement was making his headaches worse. “Where did we stop?” 

Jone sighed, disappointed to be back to business again. “As I said earlier, there is still nothing to report,” he said, picking at his nails. “Everything has been the same for 6 years.”

Bernard was quiet for a minute before he said, “And that rogue merchant? Do you know anything?” 

“That rogue?” he asked, need not an answer. “He disappeared. Never spotted after.”
