Chapter 5

Unknown Number: Be careful of the mission.

My heart starts beating faster. I quickly make sure I had locked the door and windows, closing the curtain, taking out a gun and a blade from the weapon rack.

I stand behind a knife stool, gun pointing at the door, I'm on high alert.

My phone buzz twice. Without removing my gaze from the door, I took it out of my pocket and read the message.

Unknown Number: Tell no one. Trust no one.

Unknown Number: Reflect upon the answer that stood by you. Look back. Look forward. But don't remember.

For the love of food, can he stop speaking in riddles!

I have no idea who texted me in the middle of the night from an unknown number. If I were in my right mind right now, I would block him. But I am tired and spent. Plus I have this nagging feeling in the back of my head saying I should trust him.

I sigh, putting the blade and the gun from where I took them. As I walk through the hallway, I feel like someone's watching me, but I saw that no one is in the hallway except me when I turned around.

I should sleep, the flight leaves early in the morning, I thought as I open the door to my room.

***

Guess what, sleep doesn't come to me at all.

Last night I went to Scout's room and slept on his couch since if there is an attack, we would have a bigger chance at surviving together. Fun Fact, Kelly and I aren't a good match in a group fight. We would eventually kill each other, unintentionally or intentionally.

I didn't tell him that though, I just tell him that I miss him too much that I wanted to sleep with him. No, I mean not sleeping with him... of course... I mean like sleeping with him. Like- just beside him, not like-

You get what I mean...

right?

Anyway,

Long story short, we went to the airport and get into the organization's private jet to fly across 2 continents. I settled myself on a comfy couch, opening my laptop. I did promise someone to call them...

I open Skype, starting the call, and not 2 rings have rung out, their faces popped on my screen. I grin at them, Elton and Reg seem like they're arguing about something and Diego is eating popcorn watching them fight over- over- Momo?

I gasp, "what is it about cats?"

The three of them snapped their heads at me "nothing," they said simultaneously.

"No, no, no. Tell me."

They throw each other a look before Reg answered, "it was my turn to sleep with Momo, but then Elton trapped her in his room!"

I frowned, they sleep with Momo?

"I did not! She came to me willingly! She loves me better!" Elton cut him off.

"There is no way! I gave her chocolate more than you do!"

HE. DID. WHAT.

"I gave her chips more!"

HE DID WHAT TO MY CAT?!

"You guys realize I'm the only one giving her more candies right?" Diego chirps in.

"YOU GUYS. DID. WHAT."

They all turn to the camera, "uhhh..."

"OH! I KNEW LEAVING MOMO WITH YOU GUYS IS A BAD IDEA! WHAT WERE YOU GUYS THINKING? WHAT IF THOSE FOODS ARE BAD FOR HER? OMG, I SHOULD BRING HER TO THE VET! I HOPE SHE'S OKAY..."

"It's fine, she's fine..." said Elton.

"How do you know that?"

"Well we've been doing it for the last year, and she still lives." Reg hit him on the head at that, "ow! What the hell was that for?"

"YOU'RE TELLING ME, YOU HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR THE LAST FUCKING YEAR?!!" I can feel my face turns red.

"Oh oh," Diego dropped his popcorn.

Oh oh indeed. They're in sooo much trouble.

I take a deep breath, ready to give them a fucking piece of my mind.

***

The rest of the flight went by without any more hassle. Scout and Kelly are playing UNO in another room. Bobby has been sitting in the corner, hugging his bag. Minnie fell asleep beside me, I have no idea how she can sleep through 'my piece of mind' but she did.

Sunny sat beside Bobby, spent most of the flight looking out the window, even tried to talk to Bobby, while he just stared at her talking. While I, read ebooks online.

10 hours flew by slowly. When we landed, we don't need to take our garage, it's a private jet anyway. As the others help taking out our bags, I stare around me and I just realized, I stood at the airport I have flown from, three years ago.

***

"Okay, now let's make sure you didn't leave anything behind," he said, turning to me.

"Clothes, undies, shoes, sweater?"

"Check, check, check, check," I answered.

"Toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap?"

"Check, check, check, check," I answered again.

"Umm..."

"Books, notes, pens, pencils, money, and Momo. Check, check, check, check, check, check," I listed and smile at him.

"Okay, now..." He hunches down in front of me.

"Be a good girl, okay? Don't make too much trouble for Mr.-"

***

"Ahhh," I screamed.

My head hurts.

My vision starts getting blurry, but I remember seeing 3 figured running towards me.

Everything slowly went black as I slowly lost touch with reality.

***

"Shhh, it's okay honey, I'm here."

Oh no, he's here. He's here.

I can't breathe.

What is he doing here?

I hate him.

Why is he here?

What did I do?

What did he do?

***

I woke up in an unfamiliar hotel room.

My head aching. My body feels numb. I waited a few minutes for my senses to slowly come back to me.

I look around the unfamiliar room.

It's beautiful. So simple, yet stylish.

A light knock on the door got me jumped in surprise. I snatched something, anything around me as a weapon, which happens to be a lamp.

I rolled my body until I hit the ground, hiding from whoever it is on the door.

"Kaaat? Are you awake?"

Is that Scout? Omg, what happened?

"Okayyy, I'm coming in..." I paid him no attention as I tried remembering what happened at the airport. I only remembered passing out, but I can't remember why.

"FUCK, KELLY!! SHE'S GONE!!" someone screamed.

I jumped out of my hiding spot, surprised.

BAD CHOICE.

Not one second after I was out in the open, a blade was thrown my way. My reflex kicked in at the last second and I dodged to the left. The blade went right in front of my face.

"Holy shi- KAT! Oh my god, are you okay?! That is NOT funny. I could've killed you! What were you thinking?!"

"What happened?!" Kelly and the whole team ran into the room, hearing Scout's panicked scream.

"Oh my God, stop screaming, my ears hurt." My voice is hoarse as I rub my ears.

Scout's mouth popped open, drawing in a big breath.

Oooh, boyyy...

"Are you okay? Where does it hurt? What can I do? I'm sorry about the blade, it was an accident. Do you need water? Why are you holding a lamp? And she's right, Kelly, DON'T SCREAM!! It's hurting her ears!"

"Scout you ARE screaming too. Don't tell people not to scream when you are telling them by screaming!!" I screamed right into his ears.

He looked like he would protest, but I sent him a death glare, stopping him. He sent the same death glare back to Kelly, who just rolls her eyes.

"Get me up."

Scout helps me lay back to the soft bed, while Bobby comes over to me to check my body temperature and a few more stuff.

"She'll be okay, she's just tired," he said. But I just don't believe him. It doesn't mean that I don't trust Bobby, but there is just something more here. And I couldn't for the life of me figure out why?
