Stacy Hawk.

"I look so disorganized and unrecognizably horrible, what would Mr. Yates think of me?” Stacy remarked, not able to recognize herself in the reflection before her.

She quickly undressed and went into the bathroom to have a quick shower before her dad returned to her room and forcefully pulled down the door cause she knew he was capable of doing it without feeling bad.

It didn’t take long before Stacy became all dressed up and like she had expected, her dad had started banging at her door impatiently.

"Do you have some sort of disease on you that’s making you waste so much time in there?“ Ethan yelled outside Stacy’s room as he continued to bang on the wooden door.

Stacy opened the door swiftly and saw her dads hand frozen in the air, about to land another bang on the door.

"I’m done, Dad,” Stacy whispered, staring at her feet as she fiddled with the hem of her dress.

Ethan’s dark gaze scanned Stacy’s dress. He let out a scoff.

"Lame as always,” He snickered, not impressed by her casual knee-length blue dress and black flat shoes.

"Mr.Hawk is waiting, get your feet moving or do you expect me to move them for you?” Ethan scowled at Stacy and Stacy shook her head and started moving.

Seated in the sitting room with one leg crossed on the other and both arms resting on the armrest of the big couch was Dan Hawk.

His gaze wandered around the lame sitting room, sneering but the moment his gaze landed on Ethan his brows arched in a silent question.

"Where is my wife?”

Ethan looked at his side but Stacy wasn’t seen next to him which made him a little uneasy.

He turned around only to find Stacy hiding shyly right behind him with her eyes on the ground as her dark hair fell slightly over her face.

Ethan moved to the sude, revealing Stacy. "She is right here, Mr.Hawk. All dressed up and ready to be taken away by you,” Ethan chuckled, finding his words funny but others didn’t find the joke.

Dan was so lost in admiring the beautiful baby doll right before him that every other word Ethan said to him didn’t get anywhere close to his ears.

With a smirk, Dan stood up from the couch with his hands in his pockets and took large but slow strides, approaching Stacy who stood rooted to the ground and never raising her gaze up to meet him.

Every step Dan took closer to Stacy made her body tense up. She became nervous and could not find the courage she had gathered to face him within her anymore.

Dan’s every step closer to her forced her to take a step back.

Out of the blue, Dan’s long arm gripped Stacy around her slender waist close to his solid body build in front of her Dad.

Stacy gasped, her amber eyes wide open as she stared at Dan in shock.

"Y..you..what are you doing?” Stacy stammered.

"Don't resist, Stacy,” Ethan warned coldly.

With a grin plastered on his lips, Dan’s thumb moved up to her lower lips in attraction, Softly pressing on it without uttering a word. His gaze was too intense on her lips.

Before Dan was able to relish the softness of her lips Stacy forcefully pulled away from Dan's grip and cowered behind Ethan.

Dan’s eyes closed tight, his jaw clenched in frustration and displeasure at her steady refusal to touch her as his hand balled into a fist.

Ethan saw the displeasure clearly written on Dan’s face. He turned and unexpectedly slapped Stacy across her face again and raised his finger to point at her.

"When next you run away from Mr. Hawk like this again, I promise you that that day will be the day you will be disowned by me and will never return to this house or family,” Ethan threatened his daughter and noticed the blood-sipping down the side of Stacy’s lips but he cared less.

He turned to Dan Hawk with a great apology in his tone," I’m very sorry for the way she responded. You know, she has never had a boyfriend or man in her life. She’s pure and innocent in everything which is the result of the way she acted. Please don’t be mad at her,” Ethan apologized with his hands clasped together

Dan let out a gruff sigh. "It’s fine. She might be innocent today but she definitely won’t be tomorrow,” He smirked, naughty thoughts still displayed in his eyes as he gazed lustfully at Stacy.

Dan turned, went to the center table, took the white papers on it, and returned back to where Stacy and Ethan stood.

"Sign these marriage documents and be mine forever, Stacy Hawk,” He looked at the gullible Stacy with a coy smile, calling her by his surname even when she had yet to sign the contract.

His hand was stretched out, handing them to Stacy but Stacy refused to take them from him, leaving his hand hanging in the air.

Stacy took a step back away, shaking her head, "I am not ready for this, Dan Hawk,” Stacy muttered, her heart pounding against her ribs by how much courage it took from her to say the words head-on.

Dan's brows knotted into deep lines as he raised an eyebrow, stroking his chin thoughtfully.

"Is that so,” He asked calmly.

"Y-yes. I'm not ready to settle down yet. Th-there are many women out there who match up to your Stan-standards. I'm a nobody. A low-class girl who knows nothing about the high-class society. I don't want to be an embarrassment to your family. So I'm begging you now, D-Dan Hawk. Please let me be. Forget about me and that I ever exist 'cause I'm not the one for you. You’re meant to have someone better,” Stacy managed to beg, clutching the hem of her dress, and squeezing it.

"Fine then,” Dan Hawk agreed, and Stacy’s eyes widened as she raised her gaze at him in shock.

`Did he agree to my plea just like that? That..that’s unlikely of him’
