Chapter 25

Harriet joined Edward and his Dad in the sitting room, "Good morning, Mom. How was your night?" Daniel greeted.

Harriet replied with a smile, "It was great, my dear," she tapped his shoulder and sat on the sofa.

Harriet then informed Daniel that she and his father would be leaving soon. She said they had family company matters to attend to. "Exactly, son," Edward Reynolds said in a calm voice.

"I will miss you guys, it has been wonderful having you both around," Daniel said with a sad tone.

Edward Reynolds chuckled, "We will always be here for you, son, and remember, Laura is also here. I would like to have a quick chat with you guys before I leave," he said firmly.

Daniel agreed, but Harriet was enraged when her husband mentioned 'Laura', her face twisted in anger.

Harriet was upset because she had tried many times to disparage Laura to Edward Reynolds, but he did not believe her. Edward Reynolds loved Laura deeply and saw her as the daughter he never had.
