Evie’s POV

“Tell your daughter our agreement,” Augustus tells my mom.

“You will be crowned. You will give the king an heir. After which you will be free,” My mother tells me. “I explained that you are very independent and won’t want to be tied down. Once you have produced a child and give him to the care of a nurse, Augustus will reject you. You will be free to live your life.”

Stacey-Not a bad deal if you were more like your own mother.

“So all you want is a child?” I ask Augustus.

“Well, I will rather enjoy making said child,” He smiles. “But yes if after making love several times a day you still think you want to be free I will let you go. But should you chose to stay, you will be treated like the Queen you are. I promise.”

“A Queen wouldn’t be breed,” I tell him.
