The next morning I skip coffee for the ginger and peppermint tea Carson makes.

“My mother swears by this,” Carson says making me a packet for work.

Adam and I didn’t talk much last night. Joshua gave him a hard time and I am still upset over him lying to me. This morning Dalton rides in the sport car with Adam and I ride in the Blazer with Carson.

Carson and I stop twice for me to throw up.

“Are you sure you want to go to work? Its not like you have to work,” Carson smiles at me.

“Yeah, I watched 30 minutes of a soap yesterday and decided, I’m a working woman,” we both laugh.

“Well at least promise to make that tea as soon as you get to the office,” He looks worried.

“I promise, dad,” I tease. Carson sits up in his seat a little and looks all pompous.
