Evie’s POV

“I want every Lycan who followed Joshua questioned,” Adam tells Carson. “As soon as we can call an assembly, I’m naming you my second in command.”

I smile at the look of shock on Carson’s face.

“Give me my baby, before you drop the future Queen,” I say taking Mia.

“I am sorry my Queen,” He says handing her over.

“Carson there is no one in the world I can trust right now. I was betrayed by my best friend, Stacey who reads other beasts so well was blind. You have proven yourself and I need to trust someone right now,” Adam says.

“I’ll begin the interviews,” Carson nods to us.

“Adam I want to find Lucas and my dad,” I tell him.

“I know,” He holds be close again before going to make some calls.

Stacey-Are you mad at me for not picking up on Joshua?

Me- We were all fooled. Even Bruce. Hell Joshua was able to fool his own Lycan. You can’t blame yourself.

Stacey-thanks Evie, but Linc never gave any indication.

“Baby,” Adam calls to me from the phone in our bedr
