Evie’s POV

Stacey-Get to her warn her. She needs to call her Allies. We need to work fast.

Adam and I move to Mia’s office swiftly.

“Cain is behind the rebellion,” I blurt out catching Mia by surprise.

“Are you sure?” Mia asks.

“Yes. He has the Bear, Foxes and Wolfpacks you have disrespected. It’s a long list, Mia,” Adam tells her.

“You taught me to be strong and crush my enemies,” Mia stares daggers at her father and I.

“No we did not,” I tell her. “That stunt today was a prime example of why you could lose the throne. You can’t dig your heels in so deep that the ground gives way. You have to have compassion Mia, you have to rule with your head and your heart. You know the cats have a point, but so do the foxes. The answers is simple. One year for every cub that was killed.
