48-Appease the Council

Mia’s POV.

“Thank you all for coming back,” I say as my Dad takes a seat next to Uncle Tyler. “My parents have advised me that my temper at our last meeting clouded my better judgement. I apologize to all of you for my reckless and immature behavior.”

Everyone looks shocked at my admission. Charles the Eldest Werecat Delegate stands up.

“My Queen have you changed your mind on the punishment of the Werefoxes?” Charles looks concerned.

“Not entirely, I feel that each innocent life should be remembered by all Beasts. The number of cubs dead is unacceptable,” I motion for him to sit and he does. “The number of cubs lost was 397, one is too many but nearly 400 can not be ignored. So I propose a year per cub on the restrictions. And I ask all Beast to remind their cubs, pups, kits, and kittens, of why the restrictions are in place. We can’t allow rebellion to seed into our unified Kingdom. So I ask the Werecats to show grace and mercy, and I ask the Werefoxes to understand the punishment
