THREE YEARS LATER

“Jayden! Jane! Come on now or you’ll be late for school” Ava shouted to her kids who were already running late to school.

Every morning she made sure to wake them up very early and still some how they managed to always go late still that they already had a reputation at the school for being latecomers.

She dropped them off at school every morning and then headed to her office where she worked as a receptionist but the problem was that the company rarely even made enough money to pay her workers and so she was basically still living from hand to mouth.

Three years had passed since Ava had run away from her hometown after the humiliating experience of getting pregnant by an unknown man and ever since then she had been shouldering the immense responsibility of raising her two kids alone.

With each passing day, the pressure and weight of her duties grew heavier. It seemed like there was no end in sight, and Ava's strength was wearing thin.
