On getting home, Ethan launched himself on the couch because he was so tired after everything him and Jeff had done earlier. He had gotten home late because they had gone back to pick up his car and then they drove back home.

The house was quiet and he guessed that Ava had gone to sleep after waiting up for him. He wanted to go find her but the strength to do that failed him.

Jeff had promised to get back to him the next day concerning what they found out today and other new information. If he was being honest,he had not expected him to be that nice and friendly.

It had been as if he was talking to one of his friends about his situation and not a private investigator and he had also enjoyed their time together although he knew not to follow him into the field again because it was a miracle that they were not sighted during the mission.
