Kai's POV

Lawrence eyed me like I'd gone insane but I was sure that Corey was sitting over there and I had to meet her. If I had to attract the attention I was trying to avoid then I'd do it just to make her come back to me.

I walked briskly towards them, my heart thudding against my chest as several thoughts of rejection swirled in my mind. It was scary but the things I did to her were worse compared to what she was doing.

Finally, I got to their seat and tried to catch a glimpse of her. Her friend who was all bubbly squeezed her face when she saw me, then I made a pleading sign while palming my hands.

"Good afternoon, beautiful ladies." I greeted and then the woman who I thought was Corey lifted up her face.
