Chapter Nineteen: Paige

Not even a full two hours after Colin promised to stay by my side, and he left me to go handle his Alpha business. Ugh. Not the best way to make me trust him, but whatever. I have to learn to be understanding of his position, so I might as well start now. I step out of the little corner he left me in and start to mingle. I fake a smile with everyone who talks to me. My true smile breaks out only when I see a food table.

“Luna, would you like some appetizers?” an Omega asks.

“You don’t have to call me Luna. My name is Paige, and yes, I’d love some food.”

She gives me a sweet smile before handing me a plate full of warm food.
