Chapter Twenty-Two: Paige

The sun beckons my mind to awaken. The brightness blinds my sleepy eyes. I need to talk to Colin about some curtains.

Ash purrs at the sound of his name.

You are a lovesick puppy. I laugh at her.

I can’t blame her, though. I told Colin everything two nights ago, and I have felt so much better since. We spent yesterday in euphoria as our bodies got to know each other better. I stretch out my arms and try to turn, but a heavy arm tightens around my waist, not letting me move.

“Colin, let me go. I need to pee.”

“No. Stay with me in bed forever.”

“Have it your way, I guess,” I tease. Colin removes his arm with a loud groan and lets me roll out of bed.

I scurry off to the bathroom. The black tiles are icy against my bare feet. By the time I’m finished, Colin still isn’t out of bed. The sheets are useless in covering his sculpted body. The sight is almost enough to lure me back to bed. But I want to explore the pack lands today, so I tear my eyes away from Colin’s abs and walk to the closet
