Chapter 3

Chapter 3:

Robbie’s POV:

After I asked Liz if she wanted a ride, I was a little bummed she declined. But I totally understand it. I am new and she doesn’t know me. Hopefully tomorrow I can start to get know her a little better. I don’t know why but I have a strange sense that I have known her forever.

I pull up to the pack house, get out of my car and start walking to the door. I see the Alpha training with one of the freshmen who can’t seem to grasp the new fighting technique we are learning.

“Good afternoon, Alpha.” I said bowing my head.

“Ah, good afternoon, Beta Robbie.” He said smiling at me. He nods to the kid he was training to take a break. “How was your first day at the human high school?”

“It was really good actually. Went pretty easy. They are a little behind us in the education department but not by much.”

“That’s great news. I just wanted to inform you that we will be having two new wolves coming to live in the packhouse this weekend. I believe they go to the school you are attending. So, I would like you to have a few people clear out two bedrooms and get them set up for their arrival.”

“Yes Alpha. Are they male or female? That way I know which way to direct for a homier feel for them. Especially if it’s their first time living here.”

“Both of them are female. So, I would go around and ask some of the she-wolves for ideas. I know everyone has different styles but it will still help in a way. Hopefully anyways.”

“Alright. I will start as soon as todays after training sir. That way we can make sure it is done in time for them both.” I said as bowed again to head to training.

I am the trainer for our younger wolves who haven’t shifted yet. We train them so in an emergency they have a way to try to protect themselves. We train them in human-to-human combat and also human to wolf combat just in case. We always get one of our more experienced high school students to help with that training.

Today is going to be the day for the human to wolf training so I call up our Alpha to be to help out. Honestly, he loves to help out when it comes to kids. He’s just like his dad in that. We are one of the few packs who actually treat everyone like family. We know everyone’s names from highest to lowest rank. We are the 3rd largest pack in our region but number one when it comes to training. We have packs from all over wanting to come train with us to help improve their own packs fighting.

“Good afternoon, everyone.” I said to the trainees.

“Good afternoon, Beta Robbie!” they all said excitedly.

“Today we will be training for the human to wolf fighting. I have asked Alpha Alec to be our wolf for today. What do you all think?” As I said that Harlen walks in to view.

They all cheered and hollered greeting the Alphas son. I believe today will make history for these kids. They love the Alpha, Luna and Alec.

“Alright everyone it’s time to start some exercises. I want you to do 10 laps around the track as a warm up.” I said. “On the count of 3 start! 1… 2….3….” on 3 they all started running.

“Make sure you pace yourselves so you don’t get tired before we even start!” I yelled after them.

I turn to Alec with a smile. “I have never seen them so excited to train before. I guess they happy you are helping today.”

“I guess so.” He said with a chuckle.

As we watch the kids running their laps Alec looks at me and ask, “So how was your first day at a normal high school?”

I shrugged. “It wasn’t too bad. They are a little behind us in the educational department but not by much.”

“Any hot girls that caught your attention?” I internally smacked my head. I knew that would be the first thing he would ask.

“There was a few.” I confessed but then chuckled. “But I got warned to watch out for some of the girls because they like to cause major trouble so I probably won’t even go there.”

“What do you mean by that?” Alec asked with a quizzical look.

“Well apparently one of the girls was dating a football player and caused problems. Which in turn caused him to get kicked off the team and lose his scholarship to an Ivy League school.” I said looking at his shocked expression.

“Damn, what did she do? Have him murder someone? Jeez!”

“Psh, if he did that, he would be in jail not kicked off the team.” I said laughing.

“Anyways, did you get to meet any of the wolves who go to the human school?” he asked with and excited expression.

“Yes. I met two of them and they both seem really nice and they are both cute.” I said thinking of Liz. She’s not cute though. She is gorgeous. Beyond gorgeous at that. Most of the she-wolves here do not compare to her.

“Really now?” Asked Alec with a mischievous sparkle to his eyes.

“Seriously Alec? I’m going to say this once. Do not even think about it. You have a girlfriend or a fun buddy as you call her. Honestly you should of waiting until you met your mate but I know it’s hard being an Alpha with a huge sex drive.” I said shaking my head at him.

“Are they the ones moving into the pack house this weekend?” Alec asked seriously.

“Um, I’m not sure. I didn’t think to ask your father.” I finished as the kids were heading back. “We can finish this talk after training. You can even help me fix their rooms.”

I heard him sigh and nod. I know he hates to wait. He is almost as bad a girl when it comes to talking and gossip. Wants to know anything and everything. Which I get with him being the future Alpha and all. Ugh. Why did I become his best friend? I chuckled to myself and smiles.

“Alright you small fries, Time to show us what you got. Let’s get started.” I said clapping my hands.
