ONE: THE DIARY

"Charlie freak!"

As soon as I opened my locker various paints splashed on my face. As I expected.

"Good morning Charlie!" The girls said while laughing as they passed by me.

I sighed and watched their back as they leave, I wish I can pull their hair until they pulled out. I removed my glasses and wiped them up before wearing them again, then I looked at my clothes soaked with paints.

My oversized grey shirt and black baggy pants are now covered with green, yellow, and red paint. I took off my headphone with my right hand and my bag from my left hand and looked at myself.

"Howdy-dang! What happened to you?!" Jax asked.

"Well. Paints this time" I answered with another sigh.

He took my headphone and bag from me as he surveyed me.

"This is absurd, it's getting more and more wilder. I'll hold this, go and change"

"I don't think I have more available shirts here, it's all wet and soaked," I said while searching my locker.

"I have one in mine, I can lend it. Let's go so you could fix yourself"

"Well, thanks," I said and followed him.

I joined him in his locker as he lend me his shirt, it just fits him but it would probably look large on me, he also took a pair of pants from his younger sister and let me borrow them. He waited for me until I finished changing as we walk the hallway together.

"I don't think they'll ever stop, don't you have any plan on taking back on them?" Jax asked as we saw Valerie's group of friends having a chitchat in the hallway, she saw me and splashed a big fake of the most fake smile before she waved at me.

"You mean revenge? I'm not even thinking about it"

"Then are you gonna let them treat you like that?" He hissed and rolled his eyes.

I laughed at his reaction. "Hey, are you mad again? Come on! We'll be graduating sooner and I can patiently wait until I leave this hell, besides I'm getting used to it"

"Stop laughing, I don't like it. You always laugh at situations like this, they can do more and that means they can hurt you more" He frowned.

"Just calm down, you don't have to think about it all the time. Let them get tired" I faced him and patted his back. "So I have to go now, my class is about to start. See you later, good luck!" I said and quickly run to my classroom.

I didn't look back or even glanced at Jax, I know he's upset about how those bullies treat me, but we can't do anything about it. I also don't wanna get in trouble and get my name in any record before I leave this campus.

Even inside the classroom the bullies still followed me, throwing crumbled paper on the back of my head, kicking my chair, would stick bubblegum on my table and so much more and the only thing I can do is ignore them.

I sighed in relief when finally the class dismissed, I stood up and was about to keep my things when suddenly Jade snatched a notebook from my bag, my eyes widen when I saw Aria's diary. I'm the only person she trusts not to read her diary so she made me keep it because she fears her brother Jax finds out about her secrets.

"Diary huh, never thought someone still writing on diaries in this generation" and they laughed.

"Jade please, give that back to me" I requested almost begging.

"Aw, let me read a page first," she said and they all cheered.

"Let's have a random page, uhm..." Valerie grinned and acted as if thinking. "Open it on the 6th page!" She squealed.

"No, please! Just give it back!" I panicked and tried to snatch the book but Enzo quickly held my hand and smirked before letting me go as he walked towards Jade's.

Jade cleared her throat and stood up straight with a devilish grin on her face.

"Okay here it is, listen guys. January 17, 3:45 p.m. I haven't seen him around, he wasn't with his friends either. I don't know where he was, I hope to see him before this day end, my energizer..." Jade even soften her voice reading my diary.

"Aw! Our little Charlie here is in love! What if you read more!" Mae joined as they started to cheer. "More! More! More! More!"

"Okay, so for everyone's satisfaction, here is the continuation," Jade said and flipped the page to another.

Their circle cheered joyfully, I never knew this is what Aria had been writing in her diary. That's why she was so careful about Jax not reading or touching her diary. Jax doesn't even know she has a diary.

"Finally! I saw him today, he was as handsome as ever! He was preparing for their basketball team's play, that's why I didn't see him earlier because he was just busy. I wish I can wipe away those sweats from his forehead and arms. My love is so tired" Jade reads it with so much disgust on her face while the others are laughing and mocking Jade.

"So cringe!" Mae squealed.

"Who is this special someone huh, tell us! Tell us!" Valerie said.

Dave was just quiet and watching while Hayes was laughing along with Enzo.

I shook my head. "You're getting it wrong, that diary wasn't mine. Someone just told me to keep it because—"

"Oh come on, you don't have to deny it, darling! We understand you as a human being" Jade

"You can check there inside, there could be the name of the owner. I just want this to stop please just give it back" I begged already.

"One last page, here it goes!" Valerie said and snatched the diary from Jade.

"Saw you leaving the campus with your friends, hope for you to take care and go home well, I'll be doing that in the future too my..."

"Enzo?!"
