DAVON’S POV

“Wait, are you scared of Jaret?” Nixon questioned why I wanted to get away and hide from Jaret.

“I am not. If it wasn’t for Mia, I would have ripped off his life out!” I opposed inaudibly.

“Then why hide?”

“None of your business. Why don’t you leave? I will get caught because of you,” I peeked downstairs. Jaret doesn’t seemed to need any books. Why would he be?

He was only checking on me that’s for sure. I heard Mia pressing him to leave. Jaret scanned inside, with his hands on his waist looking like he was searching for a criminal.

Mrs. Olsen came out and urged him to leave. His presence scares everyone around. I was quick to ran back downstairs.

“You finally showed up. Don’t worry, he’s gone. Next time, don’t sleep in Mia’s room,” Mrs. Olsen said and went back to her office.
