MIA’S POV

My eyes are bulging from crying. I hurried to the library to check on Davon. In my mind, Jaret had killed him. The notebook was part of him, but he was standing by the door, alive and kicking.

“Oh, Davon!” I wrapped my arms around him. Relieved by my worries.

I told him about the notebook, but Davon wasn’t bothered at all. The spell that cursed him protected the notebook. Even if it was broken many times, it would returned back to its normal form. Unless he was totally freed. That was the time it would be destroyed.

“I thought I lost you!” I clung to his arms.

“Lost me? Never. I’m stronger than that. It will take centuries for Jaret to kill me,” Davon jokingly said.

“You are his nemesis. Jaret will follow you everywhere,” I smiled.

“Did Jaret hurt you?” Davon asked as soon as we got in the library. He was waiting for me by the door, adamant to know what Jaret did after leaving.
