Hunt Them

"Marcus, I think you owe me an explanation," I said, standing up, supporting myself from falling.

"I'm gonna clean the mess." He said trying to come up with an excuse to escape from my wrath.

"You ordered the maid to clean it up a few minutes ago." I narrowed my eyes at the man who realized what he was doing. Chuckling, he dashed out from the kitchen, leaving me all alone. "That man." I groaned, rolling my eyes.

I tried walking with my injured feet but I couldn't, I galloped to sit on a chair, exhaling and pushing all the blame to Marcus. I sat there for some minutes before Mabelle came to my aid.

"Miss, are you still feeling any pain?" She said with concern.

I nodded my head in affirmation. "Yes, Mabelle."

"The master has been working from home for some weeks now and visits you to join him in his study," Mabelle informed.

"It's unusual. He doesn't allow anyone in..."

"...except the other master; Marcus." Mabelle cuts in.

"Right. Help me up." I stretched my right hand and she crouche
