Sophia hesitated.

Emily's smile today made her feel uneasy.

Emily seemed like a tiger eyeing its prey. One moment she was all smiles, and the next, she could pounce and tear her apart.

Emily was very different from before. The old her would never have shown such an expression.

"No need," Sophia refused, "I can do my makeup myself. You don't need to trouble yourself."

"How can that be?" Emily glanced at the nearby media, subtly hinting to Sophia, "We're cousins. If you don't let me do your makeup, people might think there's a rift between us."

Emily's words were polite, but her meaning was clear.
