"I'm sorry…" I said.

"What are you apologizing for?" Trey asked.

"Because I've been thinking about the past, particularly about my late fiancé while with you. I shouldn't be doing it. I shouldn't reminisce and instead focus on the present, focus on you."

"You're thinking about Noah?"

I nodded guiltily. "Yeah."

"It's alright. No issue with that," he assured me and drew me closer to him.

"Still, I should be sensitive and think only about you, especially when we're together."

He put his arm around my shoulders and caressed my hair.

We watched the scenic view together.

"Why? Does this place remind you about him?" he continued to ask while our eyes were still at the mountains.
