Eric's POV.

"Where is that whore who wants to tear down my son's company?"

Behind my mother trailed Alicia, who had an accusing stare.

Emily's pulled out of my arms quickly, staring anywhere but at my mother stand sister, but I was pissed.

When did they begin to barge into my room without my permission?

What the hell was their problem?

"You know, mum, it is rude to enter into one's room without knocking. What if I and my wife were busy?"

Her face distorted into one of utter disgust as she stared down at Emily, who seemed to be in a different world completely.

"She is not your wife, Eric! She is the homewrecker who ruined your beautiful marriage before it even started. I wonder what she has done to you to make you so blind to her whoredom!"

I raised my hand to silence her.

"The last thing I would tolerate is you speaking rudely to my wife, mother. I'd advise you to watch the next words you sa
