The answer was yes.

Yes, he had done Susan.

I shoved him away. “Why don’t you go get ‘in’ Susan.” I said.

“Was that her name?” He waved a confused hand as I slid from him and entered the women’s bathroom. Thankful the moment I rounded the divider.

Logan would never have the balls to walk in here. I was safe.

I leaned on the counter and blew a long breath. Splashing cool water on my cheeks and staring at my reflection as I willed myself not to cry.

He’s not worth it.

Once I knew I’d collected myself, I peered around the divider and saw no one was there.

Making a hasty path back to the office.

I rounded the doorway and met Porter’s permeating green gaze.

“You okay?” He queried.

“I’m fine.” I said. “You didn’t have to do that.”

But I was grateful he had. I was never sure how to handle it. But it was nice to hear someone sticking up for me.

At least I think that’s what he was doing.

“Anytime, Angel.”

Why was it that whenever he said my name, it sounded more like an endearment than a name.
