Chelsey waved at Lucas dismissively. "Whatever. I'm taking a rest now."

She marched into the guest bedroom and locked herself within, prompting Lucas to let out a wry chuckle. She seemed to be growing tired and annoyed at him, refusing to even endure his antics.

Standing at the door of the guest bedroom, he lifted his hand to knock but hesitated. He stood there, staring keenly at the door for a while before he shook his head and left.

When Chelsey heard the sound of a car driving away, she went to the window and saw Lucas leaving. She let out a sigh of relief and lay on her bed, texting Sandra, "Lucas Yates left."

Sandra joked, "Where to? Is he going to spend time with that bitch again?"

Chelsey replied, "He's probably going back to the hospital to keep his mom company."

Sandra didn't seem to care. She changed the topic, writing, "Ugh, I'm suffering from cramps today. It's my second day of period, and it sucks. I've been in bed since the afternoon."
