Chapter 37

Chelsey's hand was shaking when she held her phone. She panicked. "Sandra, what do I do?"

The child arrived without any warning, and she was caught off guard.

Sandra, however, sounded calmer than her friend. "Chels, it's tough being a single mom. The kid needs a father figure too. Why don't you have a talk with Lucas? If he wants the baby, tell him to break it off with that bitch and stay with you. At least, the baby will be born into a complete family."

As Chelsey's friend, Sandra witnessed the hardships Chelsey had gone through in her marriage to Lucas.

Sandra understood the depth of Chelsey's love for Lucas, and she thought it'd be a happy ending if the couple stayed married for the child.

Chelsey caressed her belly. Although she was only carrying a fetus at this point, she was experiencing a new feeling as a mother.

After some thinking, she came to a decision. "Fine. I'll talk to him tomorrow. If he doesn't want the baby, I'll raise the baby alone."

A baby made her happier
