Lucas chuckled as he read the sticky note.

Chelsey wanted nothing, yet she gifted him a watch worth two million dollars and a tie worth thousands of dollars. She took care of Lucas for three whole years without a single complaint. Meanwhile, he called her a mere caregiver and insulted her by saying that she only married him for money.

Lucas felt like the biggest idiot in the world.

He must've deeply hurt Chelsey to have made her end things so abruptly. She didn't even want to take anything that was related to him.

Lucas sat on the sofa for some time before putting the divorce papers and documents into the safe.

He went to the hospital to spend time with his mother, heart feeling empty.

Josie still had no clue Lucas and Chelsey had divorced. She hurriedly asked Lucas, "Where's Chels? Why isn't she with you today?"

"She's busy, so she won't be able to make it." Lucas put up a relaxed act in front of his mother and teased, "Which one of us is your actual child, Mom? Why do I feel
