FORTY ONE

MIA’S POV:

I woke up to a gentle touch on my hand. I moved my fingers a little, and it seems like the person holding my hand noticed my movements.

I felt a piercing gaze on me as I slowly opened my eyes. I saw Liam staring expectantly at me looking dead worried and having a guilty look on as a lone tear rolled down his face.

I felt sorry for making him worry and abandoning his sleep before rushing here.

I leaned into him before capturing his lips in a slow kiss.

To be honest, I wasn't asleep. I just felt slightly uncomfortable and I tried to force myself to sleep by closing my eyes before Liam walked in.

I heard him sniff before I opened my eyes and engulfed him in a kiss.

I broke the kiss as I stared at him who had a surprise look on his face.

“Mia, I… I thought that you were mad at me and that you would push me away when you see me” Liam said while looking into my eyes.

“I thought so too, but changed my mind” I replied, also staring back at him.
