Hiding the Truth

"Yes you did?" The King replied, his voice sounding hoarse and I choked on my saliva.

I can't believe I said that out loud.

"I'm sorry," I apologized, not meeting anyone's eyes.

The King cleared his throat, grabbing everyone's attention.

"I guess we are all aware of what took place yesternight?" Everyone remained silent, staring at the King while the Prince kept eating.

"But I am under the impression that someone helped them in," I choked again on my saliva, attracting attention to myself.

"I guess you're feeling guilty that you know who the Intruders are and you entertained them," Arla mocked, not making things easier for me.

"You seriously didn't expect me to rat them out or tell them I know who the Intruders were. I'm only bringing trouble to dad."
