MELISSA’S POV

We went to the car and then before Stefan started the car, he turned to me and looked at me out of concern.

“Is there anything wrong?” I asked, out of curiosity.

“I should be asking you. What’s bothering you, Melissa? I know something is wrong, for you to come all the way from the hotel, to meet me, while I am busy and if you do not remember, you slept beside me, on the same bed. I know it is something really big. Talk to me.” Stefan said, looking really concerned.

I heaved a sigh, then looked at him.

“I’m sorry if I inconvenienced you in any way. It’s just… Just a haunting memory, which I do not want to talk about.” I said, hoping he would understand, because I did not want to, in any way, remember it anymore.

“Alright, I understand. So, what do you say, if we go to the beach?” He suggested, with a smile that changed the gloomy mood into a bright one.

“Sure. I’m in for it. But I am going to pay.” I said, with a smile on my face.

“Alright, if you say so.”
