Chapter 43: Counter attack

~ Lumiére's POV ~

Lumiére's mind was racing as he tried to process the news. Vampires being killed by humans was not something he had ever considered. He always believed that they were untouchable, invincible, and immune to any harm. But now, the reality of the situation had hit him hard.

He turned to Arin, his Head Sentinel, and asked in a soft tone, "The bodies, did you identify them...?"

Arin nodded and proceeded to provide more details. "One from the East Sanctuary while the other two are from the West Sanctuary...they just recently moved into the city to study at the University. They are still young and have not yet ascended," he said.
