I was completely caught off guard. I couldn't believe how Joe managed to locate me. My mind was suddenly filled with a whirlwind of questions as I struggled to understand how this situation had come to be.

The room was engulfed in the deafening sound of gunfire, causing a sharp, acrid smell of gunpowder that stung my nostrils and filled the air.
